Introduction
In a WordPress multisite installation, the Knowledge Base (KB) plugin must be activated on each individual site where it’s needed rather than activated network-wide. This approach ensures that each site maintains its own separate data.
Network Site Admin Page
As a network admin on the plugin installation page, you will see the following:
Ensure that the KB plugin and its add-ons are not activated network-wide. Refer to the screenshot below: the correct configuration is shown on the right, while the incorrect setup is on the left. Your network installation should match the right-side example. If you do not have access to the network site, please contact your network administrator.
Single Site Admin Page
As an administrator on the plugin installation page on a single site, you will see the following indicators. The image below illustrates two areas where you can check for an incorrect network-wide activation of the plugin. On both the KB Configurations and Getting Started pages, a red notification is displayed, while on the plugins list page, the label “Network Active” appears under the plugin name. If you see these indicators, it means the plugin has been activated network-wide, which is not the correct configuration.
